Reiki

In 2020 I started to meditate regularly and was looking for other ways to balance myself.

This brought me to breathing excercises and also Reiki –  a japanese healing method which helps to balance ones own flow of energy and thus has positive effects on mind and body.

What is Reiki?

At its core, Reiki is a gentle yet powerful healing modality that works with the body’s natural energy to promote balance, wellness, and harmony.

The origins of Reiki trace back to the early 20th century in Japan, where it was founded by Mikao Usui. A deeply spiritual man, Usui sought answers to life’s profound questions and the keys to healing. After years of dedicated study and meditation, he experienced a transformative spiritual awakening atop Mount Kurama, leading to the birth of Reiki.

The word “Reiki” itself is derived from two Japanese characters: “Rei,” meaning universal or spiritual wisdom, and “Ki,” representing the life force energy that flows through all living beings. Through this ancient wisdom, Usui discovered a method to channel and transfer healing energy, not only for physical ailments but also for emotional, mental, and spiritual imbalances.

Since its inception, Reiki has continued to evolve and spread across the globe, touching the lives of individuals from all walks of life. Practitioners and recipients alike have attested to its profound effects, describing feelings of relaxation, peace, and renewed vitality.

About me giving Reiki

My Reiki studies took place in Berne, Switzerland with Martina Eberle (more information @ begegnungen.me) and I graduated as a “Usui Reiki Master” in October 2020.

Since then I have given regular treatments and am working part-time at the competence center for alternative treatments – Mülimatt in Niederrohrdorf, Aargau.
